Happy Days

We had a great time this past weekend.  Our drive up to DFW was pretty good and our first stop, which was not planned (according to my husband) was Bass Pro Shop.  We actually missed our exit to Great Wolf Lodge and ended up at Bass Pro and since we all needed a break we decided to go in.  It was not busy at all and Santa had already set up shop, so the kids got an opportunity to sit on his lap.  Hannah had no problem at all and because his little sister sat on Santa's lap, Blaine decided to be brave and also sit with him.  He was terrified, but he did a great job and the best part (he tells us): He got a candy cane and he got to eat it before dinner!  It truly was a magical night for our Mister.

We tore up the water park all weekend, which was a blast, and on Sunday Mimi and Pops treated us to a very special museum tour.  Mimi did some detective work and found an exhibit called "Dinosaurs Live!".  We didn't tell Blaine what we were going to do but just went to the exhibit and started walking down the trail and then he saw it: Sharp Tooth!

His face was so priceless.  He spent the better part of our walk (where we saw nine dinosaurs total - all of which moved and made noises) convincing himself that they were not alive.  He didn't want to touch the first few that we came up to and kept warning us all to "watch out" and "be careful."  What an awesome way to end our weekend.  Mister will never forget this trip, for sure!  Thanks Mimi and Pops.

Here are the rest of our pictures.  If we hadn't got home at midnight last night and had a full day today I would write more and give you the play by play, but all of that did happen and this mama needs to get some rest.

One thing is for sure, we all had a blast this weekend.  We couldn't have asked for more.
