2 years old

Happy birthday to our sweet Severan Joseph.  Two years ago today we welcomed you into our world and your presence opened the door to a new journey in life for our family.  You are an absolute joy.  You love life, playing with "big trucks" and you have a serious obsession with Jeeps.  You like music and playing basketball. You are sensitive and kind.  You are rough and strong and energetic but you also snuggle with your Mama.  You have a great sense of humor and your "Hannah Baby" and "Hug Me" babies are your favorite lovies.  You only let us dress you with clothes that have a motor vehicle on them and you take great pride in your dental hygiene.  Your favorite song to dance to is "Shake it off" by Taylor Swift and you seriously love "squeezers."  You make our world a better place and we love you to the moon and back.  Thanking God for your life and your love today.

3 Months Old (Almost)

Oh, how much he has grown!

This amazing little dude will be 3 months old on Sunday and I just can't get enough of him!  This is what my little Mister is doing right now:

* laughing
* "talking" to us with the sweetest coos
* grabbing for toys
* sucking on his fingers (he also stared at his hand the other day for about a minute.  So funny!)
* Smiling at anyone that talks to him or at toys hanging above him (he's a happy baby.)
* Sleeping through the night and has been for almost a month now
* One long nap and two shorter naps during the day
* Making his Mama's heart explode with joy everyday!!

And the big kids are doing well too.  HG is only wearing dresses and skirts these days so I'm not sure what I'm going to do with her closet full of shirts and pants.

We went to Cabelas today and Blaine arrived at the fish tank just in time to feed them.  Score!

Last but not least, Big Papa arrived on Tuesday for a surprise visit (for the kids.) They were so excited when they saw him - Blaine's eyes even welled up with tears.  At school on Wednesday he wrote a story about Papa.  It's the sweetest story: "My Papa Came to Visit: Yesterday my Papa came from Michigan to Colorodoe.  First he watched me play Mario.  Then he wrestled with me.  Then he took a nap.  Then it was time for bed.  It was the best present ever.  The end!"

I'm going into my 6th week of P90X3 and clean eating plan (yay!) but plan to press pause on this workout so I can start Focus T25 in a new Challenge group.  It is going to kick. my. buns.  I'm hopeful it will kick my buns OFF! :)

No Joke, So Busy

We do have other children, but this guy is stealing the show lately when it comes to taking photos.  I won't bore you with details, but I can sum it up by saying that he is perfect!  And I love him.  And I just want to stare at him all day but if you remember my little neck problem from staring at the other kids when they were babies, I am trying to refrain.

We are approaching the end of the school year which means summer planning is in full swing and Severan's surgery is getting closer and closer.  Since re-joining Facebook I have connected with a few Craniosynostosis groups and that's been helpful and several friends have friends that have been through this surgery, so we have them to reach out to as well.

Since I made the decision to be a Coach with Beachbody I have been swamped (daily) with learning the business and the products.  And an added bonus is the motivation I have to keep up with my own healthy habits and I love that aspect of the business.  Today I finished 'Block 1' of P90X3 which means that I am 1/3 of the way through the program.  In 30 days I lost 5.5 pounds, 2 inches, and 2% bodyfat.  Given that it took me a long time to put the weight on, this is quite encouraging and I'm happy with how far I've come.  I have found that early morning workouts (5 am) are best for me and they really set me up for success the rest of the day. I'm really excited to see how my body changes in the next 30 days especially since I am going to add in some running too.  My goal is to run the BolderBoulder on Memorial Day, which means I need to start training YESTERDAY :)!

I have a Challenge Group starting on April 21st that is going to rock!  Those that join the challenge will be doing the Focus T25 workouts, drinking Shakeology daily and will have an accountability group to help keep them on track and achieve their goals.  I've been drinking Shakeology for a week now and David starts tomorrow.  We both love it!  If you're interested in joining me for the April 21st Challenge Group, or you just want more information on Shakeology, send an email to jessicaglyon@gmail.com or message me on FB.

Give Me A Break...

We're rocking spring break!  Our mornings are filled with chores, a little TV and my workouts (which by the way totally kicked my buns yesterday!)  Then we venture out in the afternoon for fun activities.  Yesterday we painted pottery, today we went to the park and did some Easter crafts at home, and I have some secret fun planned for the next few days :)  Before I know it, school will be back in session and I'll need a vacation.

We had some fun taking some pictures today too:  Seriously, I have beautiful kids!

Blaine was really upset in the car on the way home from the pool tonight.  As soon as he started getting upset HG says this little gem:

"Oh come on... Give me a break with the crying, BLAINE!"

She's 3.  And hilarious.
