Today you are 5 months old! I can't believe you've been with us this long already - what a blessing you have been. You have so much joy and you are constantly making us smile and laugh and count our blessings. We all love you so much. Even your big brother...
You always have your hands in your mouth. You started this a few weeks ago. You can't quite fit both hands in there yet, but boy are you trying hard. You have a constant flow of drool coming out. At least we know you're not lacking in the salivary glands department.
Just today (I guess to celebrate your 5 months here on earth) you finally decided to roll over from your back to belly. You mastered belly to back a few weeks ago and have been trying to master the next developmental milestone since then. Well, today you got it! You were so proud of yourself for rolling over. You shrieked with delight and come to think of it, you've been shrieking all day! (That's kind of new too.)
You are on a great schedule these days. You're up around 7am and you go to bed for the night around 8pm. Even though you're not sleeping through the night yet, the 4am feeding doesn't really bother me. You are doing great with your naps and you're still an efficient and happy eater. (You've got nursing down now.) Your acid reflux is still pretty bad but you and I manage to keep that under control with medicine and my altered diet. Still no dairy, chocolate, citrus or acidic foods for me... If I eat well and you take your meds, you always keep your food down and your little tummy will not hurt.
You think your daddy has a funny voice and he can make you laugh most of the time. I think you weigh around 15 pounds. You're wearing 6 month clothing - you fill them out pretty well, even though you have short legs, arms and torso.
Thank you for making all of our lives so rich and beautiful. We love, love, love you and can't wait to see what you'll do next.
