A Michigan Christmas Part III

We are home safe and sound. We had no trouble on any of our flights, despite the nasty weather and attempted terrorist attacks in Detroit. Blaine wasn't even a terror! :) Here are the last few pictures from our amazing trip north. I have had to get used to doing my own laundry, cooking for myself and my family and taking care of a toddler as GG and Papa did mostly everything while we were there. (Thank you so much, Mom and Dad.) My Dad and Blaine are a perfect match as they both love the outdoors, even if it is only 18 degrees out! Every chance they got, they were outside together sledding, riding some motorized vehicle, or working. The downer of our trip happened three days before we departed. David went ice fishing with my Dad and brother and as he was carrying a 50 pound ice auger on his shoulder he slipped and fell and the auger's motor landed on his right thumb. We think it is broken or smashed, but can't get in to a doctor until tomorrow, so we'll see what happens then. He has been in a lot of pain and it isn't pretty, but he has been a trooper doing everything he can while attempting to not use his thumb (D says this is almost impossible!). I'll post pictures of it when I can get some.

We hope you all had a glorious Christmas and are looking forward to 2010. We are definitely looking forward to our new addition and hope to know the sex and his or her name by the end of the month... we'll let you know.
