Happy 13th Month Blaine =)

Today marks Blaine's 13th month as Mister Man ;) He was such a character this weekend. Here are his "new things"

The Cute:

- He knows where his bellybutton is and points to it, after lifting his shirt (so cute). He will also try to life your shirt, like it or not to show you where your bb is :)

- He can now tell us (using sign language) when he is hungry, wants more, wants water and wants to take a bath.

- He thinks the "Old MacDonald had a farm..." song is funny.

- We've started introducing a spoon. He puts the food on his spoon with his pudgy little fingers and then attempts to put it in his mouth.

- Hugs and kisses those he loves (but only when he wants to).

- Eats anything and everything in sight.

- He knows 6 body parts and will point to them (on us or on himself).

- He is practically running... not just walking, everywhere he goes now!

The Not-so-cute:

- Throws his food when he's done eating or does not want what we give him. (Uh, oh.)

- Throws mini-temper tantrums when we tell him no (Double uh, oh.)

- Doesn't mind leaving where the safety of Mom and Dad are... He is now a little explorer. I am imagining a mixture of crayons and wall art in my future.

- He only wants to eat these little vanilla cookie/crackers we have for him. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Forget the veggies, fruit and protein...

We love every minute of this though... the cute and even the not-so-cute.

The Lyon's are heading back to Michigan in June. I am absolutely dreading the 3 hour plane ride with a toddler. Any advice or suggestions from veteran travelers out there...?

We love you little buddy. I hope the next 13 months are just as fun as the first 13 :)
