Rain, Rain and GG

We have had rain here for four straight days and I think the last time that happened was over two years ago.  Maybe that's not true but it sure seems like it, especially with the drought we've had forever.  Because of the rain we really haven't been able to do much outside but we've stayed plenty busy.
GG didn't get in until Thursday morning after having to spend the night in Houston where she missed her connection Wednesday night.  When she finally arrived the kids were ecstatic to see her.

Baking with GG.

Stacking blocks with GG.

Eating popcorn and reading with GG.

Acting silly for GG.

Today (Monday), which is two days after I started writing this post it was beautiful outside.  The rain cleared up yesterday afternoon so we've been outside the last two days.  Today is was in the 80's and just gorgeous.  We ran errands this morning and after picking Blaine up from school headed out to Sweetberry Farms to pick some strawberries.  Blaine loved it but poor Hanny is fighting a bad cold so she was out of sorts the whole time.

Jam and popsicles from our fresh strawberries.  Mmmm!

Tomorrow is GG's last day here.  She is always a huge help to us when she comes - cleaning things I hate to clean (windows!), playing with the kids and keeping them happily occupied throughout the day, and even sending D and I on a much needed date night.  Not to mention we enjoy her company :)  Thank you, Mom - we love you.
