We've been in Michigan for several days now. Our flights were relatively easy except for Blaine's ears hurting on the first flight into Nashville. The day before we left we took Blaine to the doctor because he was complaining of an ear ache. Sure enough he had an ear infection (and actually the doctor said there was a blister on his ear drum, which is a specific type of infection.) This is the 3rd year in a row that he has had an ear infection around Christmas time. Poor guy.
We arrived at my parent's house around 9:00 pm Christmas Eve. The kids crashed out later than normal and then the adults stayed up pretty late doing the stockings and wrapping the rest of the presents. It was an exciting night for all of us.
Saturday morning we slept in until 7:00 am (that's late for us...) and Matt, who separates gifts on Christmas morning, let Blaine help him. Blaine was pretty patient through the sorting and then tore into his gifts in a matter of minutes. It was a great morning.

Snow!!! Finally.
It finally started snowing this morning and Blaine said it was because he "prayed twice." He put his new winter jacket on over his pajamas and headed out after breakfast. He would play out there all day if we let him. He and D are out in the woods right now exploring.
Yesterday my dad and I took the kids to the local community center where they have a kid's gymnastics area and a leisure "fun" pool. The kids wore us out between the two activities but we did have a lot of fun together. David and I went on a date last night too which was really nice. We both managed to get out of our pajamas (which we've been in for two straight days :) We saw The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and thought it was good.
We are doing as little as possible for the rest of our trip. I am going to try to stay in my pajamas again today, update the blog, do a little work and maybe watch some more movies. The snow is falling so it's really beautiful outside but nice and cozy inside. GG and Papa are keeping the kids busy doing all kinds of things, including riding around on a dolly.
