Hannah has not improved since completing her fourth antibiotic just a few days ago. She's had this pesky ear infection since January 20th and nothing is touching it. After reviewing her history and all of the attempts to treat this infection with an oral antibiotic Dr. Howard recommended that we go to our last resort... antibiotic by injection (sounds scary... like "Death by Lethal Injection") Yikes! This is the last resort for a number of reasons.
1. It's inconvenient - we've got to go to the doctor's office three days in a row to get the injections.
2. It's painful - two shots, one in each leg.
3. It's still not a guaranteed fix. If this doesn't work, Angel Bug will have to have surgery and have tubes put in.
So, we started that today. Poor Hannah. She's had immunizations, so it's not the actual pokes that are bothersome, but the fact that she has to go back two more days in a row and have more injections - that is a total bummer. Plus, we don't even know if this is going to work! We're going to pray that this works and our happy (good sleeper) will be back with us soon.
For some fun news: HG now has two teeth - two of her bottom front teeth have come in so she spends a lot of time showing us her new pearly whites. Cute.
