First Haircut, etc...

It was an eventful weekend at the Lyon crib. David was in a fishing tournament on Saturday but I was told not to mention it because he didn't get first place. He had fun though - and that's what counts, right? My friend Kari and I went to a wedding shower on Saturday for the awesome woman who watches our kids twice a week. Chrissy and Jason are getting married in April and the shower was a lot of fun. I am proud to report that I was on the team of ladies that won the make-a-wedding-dress-out-of-toilet-paper-and-clothespins-only contest! I wish I had a picture of it - it was quite beautiful. Elliot, Kari's husband and Siri's dad watched Blaine for me since David was fishing. They had a big time and I'll post pictures from their fun time when I get them. Saturday night we ate BBQ at Rudy's and crashed around 9:00 pm from all of the activity and then (drum roll please)....

BLAINE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT ON SATURDAY NIGHT, FEBRUARY 27th, 2010, FROM 8:30 PM UNTIL 6:15 AM.

It was a phenemonal experience for David and I and Blaine was so happy and rested when he woke up. Way to go son.



Sunday was a big day as well... Blaine got his first haircut. Here are the pictures. Actually the first few are Blaine trying to put shoes on Tug and then a before-bed photo session with daddy followed by pictures from the "Main Event" (Blaine's First Haircut). The woman did a great job and though I wanted to cry at the sight of his beautiful falling curls... I have to admit, it does look good.

After church this morning we spent an hour at Sprouts and Blaine was really tired.

But wait... just seconds earlier I had handed him a cookie which he grasped with intention!

Wow. He fell asleep (literally 10 seconds after I handed him the cookie) and I think he still has some in his mouth.

Vulcan Death Grip loses it's battle. Sleep wins.
