Last Saturday we spent the afternoon at Elgin Christmas Tree Farm/Pumpkin Farm. They had farm animals, puppies, train rides, pumpkins (!), games, tractor rides, and many other festive activities. We went with the Pemberton family - Blaine's friend Siri and her parents - and had had a wonderful day! Blaine has been reading a book about a dog, named Biscuit, visiting the pumpkin patch so all week we heard, "Bis-kit, Patch! Bis-kit, Patch!" And it's official, in Blaine's mind, a pumpkin is not called a pumpkin - it's a patch. Here he is picking out his very own "patch."

Siri and Blaine... it was love at first sight on the hay-ride. Awwwww.

Blaine and Siri rode in the caboose of this train all by themselves. I tried to get David to run along side it in case Blaine tried to bail... but they both did great!

Here we are, the silly Lyon family.

Oh, and it was Elliot's birthday! He turned the big 3-0! Yikes. Happy Birthday :) (We celebrated with pumpkin and pecan pie. Mmmmm.)
