14 Months... What a ride!

Mister Man is celebrating 14 months today. He had a superb day at school. They noted the following things today on his report:

* Blaine has been and continues to communicate well. When he is asked to point to an object or get an object he does so and he is also communicating his needs to his teachers effectively.

Jessica's Note: I wonder if he screams to "communicate" at school like he does at home. David is considering getting ear plugs.

*While on the mat for nap time, Blaine did not mind sharing his lion with one of the younger girls from the infant group. He let his friend cuddle with the lion for a little while. What a sweetie!

Jessica's Note: Of course he shared - - it was a girl! She's pretty cute too :)

*Blaine tried feeding himself his applesauce with his spoon, but he didn't like it!

Jessica's Note: This is no big surprise. He wants to use both hands so he can throw the food that doesn't get in his mouth.

He has adjusted so well to school and is now happy to play with his friends. His friend, Vincent, has the most precious face when I drop off Blaine in the morning, as if to say "Oh Good! He's here, he's here.... my friend Blaine!" Apparently both boys love being outside, so when Blaine got there today, Vincent pointed to the playground. So cute.

I can't possibly review all that Blaine "can do" now. He has just grown and developed so much in the last few months.

For me the coolest thing is our ability to communicate with each other. Between sign language and screaming (unfortunately) and pointing and talking we can communicate about just about everything. He knows exactly what we mean when we talk to him.

He also has an amazing internal clock. His teachers said that around 12:58 he starts pointing to the door - wondering where I am (I pick him up at 1:00). And around 6:30 pm, when Daddy gets home, Blaine stands in the foyer and points at the door and says "DaDa...? Dada?". It is hilarious.

Blaine has really latched on to Tug... literally. He follows him around and holds onto Tug's back end - - sort of like skiing behind him. It's paybacks for Tug who harassed Kole something fierce when Tug was a puppy.

We are all having a great time together. We love this little guy so much it's unbelievable. Even when he feeds the dogs his dinner... :)
